Although she hails from Richmond, Indiana, Jess's path crossed mine way down here in the South at one of our mutually favorite places: Olive Branch Crossfit! I know a lot of people have beef with the whole CrossFit world, but one of the reasons I enjoy it is because of the way it connects people whose lives may not have ever intertwined otherwise. We've got a neat community at OBCF, and I'm glad that both Jess and I get to be a part of it.
Some incredible info that most people may not know about Jess is that she is actually Technical Sergeant Jessica Senteno for the NCOIC, Personnel, Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps Detachment 785, located at the University of Memphis in Memphis, Tennessee. She is responsible for cadre/cadet personnel records, oversees cadet physicals, enlistments, categorization and commissioning processes. TSgt Senteno graduated from Richmond High School, Richmond, Indiana in June 2000. She entered the Air Force in September 2000, and attended Basic Military Training at Lackland Air Force Base, TX. She also graduated from the Personnel Apprentice course at Keesler Air Force Base, Mississippi in February 2001. Throughout her career, she has filled various roles including the stand-up of the 55th Intelligence Support Squadron at Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraska. Her assignments include: Langley AFB, VA; Geilenkirchen NATO AB, Germany; and Offutt AFB, NE.
Jess's career with the Air Force has afforded her eleven different assignments (that's 11 different places to live, y'all), two medal decorations, two awards, and five promotions. Long story short, she has been active duty Air Force for 16 years and that has also included combat deployments to Kuwait, Jordan, Afghanistan and an undisclosed location. Oh, and would you believe she has also been selling Mary Kay for three years?!
I had the chance to play dress-up with Jess when she scheduled a Before & After Consultation to get her prepped and ready for a Speakeasy Soiree with a theme set in the roaring 20's. The event was hosted to celebrate one of our dear friends, Carol Swanson, who also happens to be BEATING BREAST CANCER'S BUTT! Not to mention, Carol is also the better half of OBCF coach Brian Swanson.
For Jess's look, I used predominantly Mary Kay products. As most of you know, I ask clients to bring their favorite and most used beauty products so that we can assess their beauty regimen accurately as well as build a better foundation of products that they know work for them by suggesting products that may work better or have a more sustainable price point for their budget. I've got to say that I was impressed with the Mary Kay products I used for Jess's look, my favorites being the primer and shadows that she brought! If you're interested in seeing or purchasing any of the Mary Kay products we used, you can CLICK THIS LINK to check it all out.
Thanks for hanging out with us this Monday, and don't forget to send some love Jess's way!
